WELL DUDES AND DUDETTES.....
Its been a while since i had time to write up on gigs, and we bin busy yessirree.......we had a real good time doin big Franks crazy rock n roll circus at the MARINA FOUNTAIN with our good buddies Carl, Nick, and Nick from Rum Boogie (not a misprint, only a trio and two are called Nick whats the chances?) we hav had areal good run of gigs with our erstwhile keyboard player Rick who lives in London and only does the bigger gigs with us as we cant all get on most pub stages.
we had a lovely open air gig for the cliffe bonfire society at lewes which was a blast...a great day and evening out with the Harley Davidson Riders Club Great Britain, triple rally in Eastbourne..those brothers know how to parteeeeeee..hell yeah. A brill gig even tho there was only four of us ..Mel was tied up elsewhere (ooooer missis) at the Prince Albert in Eastbourne.Terry the governor ther is a great bloke and likes his  music, but a late night playing till one  in the morning then packing up and hitting the road, lucky the kebab shops stay open late innit?
The 6 Bells in Chiddingly always a pleasure, great food, great crowd, and another great governor in Paul who loves his music as well, that place is terrific to play even tho its an odd shape and quite small its got a great atmosphere. well that about brings us up to date keep watchin this space got another Harley Riders party this weekend, god not another pissup while we play......can i take anymore?..............course i can ......

THE PORTLAND ROCK BAR
THANKS TO ALL OUR LOYAL AND DEVOTED FANS (JEEZ CAN I SUCKUP)
who braved the winds and torrential rain to come and see us at the portland, we were without one of our number in the form of the welsh (guitar) wizard MEL, due to serious family illness, but the boys managed to create our sound and cover the parts that even heineken cant reach without him. Rick our new and much loved keyboard ist (?) played a blinder given that he has only had a few on board hours to settle in. dunno why but feels like he's part of the family and has been forever... very easy but professional guy.the gig was brill we had a lotta fun and the crowd didnt smoke too much given that it was the last nite they could do that in a pub, from now on the smoke machines gonna be used a lot more and all the smokers kin git down the front and inhale :-))

THE CROWN, LITTLEHAMPTON.
Yup definately getting better we had a real good crowd there on friday, thanks to you all for coming, we debuted our latest aquisition, in the form of Ric a keyboard player from London, added a whole new dimension to the bands sound, fuck me, we are one hot band now!
watch this space for things to come for next year....hell yeah..
now to get ready for the Portland!!!!!!!!!!!

THE MARINA FOUNTAIN, St LEONARDS ON SEA,
Great night at the Marina Fountain, fabulous stage plenty of room for all the gear that we took there, stevie the landlady is absolutely wonderful, a dedicated music and biker pub altho its not compulsory to be a biker to go and see a band there. As we did the last time we were there, had a rockin good night I lost count of the people who came up and told us how awesome they thought we were, I know its all subjective but its nice to be appreciated when the sweat is pouring off you and youve given your all to put on a show for the assembled multitude, love yor asses and we see you again in july when we have Rum Boogie 'supporting' us commas are there coz its really a double header rather than support see ya'all real soon.

THE CROWN, LITTLEHAMPTON
Well after the last time we were there we had decided to give the place another go, and its very fortunate that we did, Donna the landlady appears to be turning it around and working very hard in the process, a lot of the crowd were back in there and a great time was had by all. Faye and Tony were up the front as per usual, and a little bird told me that we will be greetin a new little freebird come new years day. They obviously been lettin the good times roll.......congrats.
Tony (AS IN OUR TONY) was bouncin about beside me with his newest firebird in hand, jeez that things got some tone on it and in it if you catch my drift.we had Stuart McCall deppin on drums for us and boy can he play our stuff well, thanks Stu you done us proud mate. The night was rounded off as usual in the time honoured band tradition of a kebab in littlehamptons finest emporium, thanks Donna (not the kebab of course) and the Crown crowd for your appreciation and applause see ya soon..

THE PORTLAND ROCK BAR.
A FUN NIGHT AS ALWAYS, home territory for us, lotsa friends there always a good but hot sweaty and smoky night..... roll on July at least we can breathe in the Port then coff coff......

Thats better made up for the last gig we had (read below)
THE MOSHPIT, at O'Neils bar in Redhill Town Ctr.
Marc and the boys who run it gave us a warm welcome and were helpful even to the point of roadying for us getting our gear in to the bar.... a small crowd.. it seems that they had several events over the weekend to the point that they raised i think it was 1400 quid for red nose day on friday, obviously left the good rockers of Redhill a bit skint for going out this week....HOOever the good folk that were in that night were a great audience and we enjoyed the gig immensely...a good few  came up afterwards telling us how much they enjoyed it and a couple even said we were the best band that had played there yet, and let me tell you theyve had some good ol boys play there. its all subjective i know but its nice to be appreciated and in mel and tonys case adored....hehehehe..thanks Marc look forward to seeing you agin real soon Hell Yeah..n giter done

WELL HOW THINGS CHANGE....THE CROWN AT LITTLEHAMPTON WAS A GREAT GIG..... BUT LAST FRIDAY WAS NOT GOOD, A CHANGE OF MANAGEMENT HAS RESULTED IN A CHANGE OF CLIENTELE....THERE WERE A FEW 'CHAVS' WHO WERE PISSED WHEN WE GOT THERE,AND IT WENT DOWN HILL FROM THERE  WE WERE TOLD TO TURN DOWN SO MUCH THAT WE COULD HEAR THE PEOPLE IN THE PUB WHO WERE LOUDER THAN THE BAND, LOADSA EFFIN AND BLINDIN FROM A FEW PISSED UP INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE RUMOURED TO BE RELATED TO THE LANDLADY...ASKE TO PLAY STATUS QUO, WHO, AND WORSE OFALL STUCKINTHE FUCKIN MIDDLE WITH YOU? WAS A ROCK CROWD ONCE A FEW DIEHARDS STILL BUT TOO MANY DRUNK CHAVS, WE WILL BE RECONSIDERING OUR FUTURE GIGS WITH THIS VENUE
NEVER MIND EH?

the Brunswick Hove. what a night !
I had been feeling low all week as the death of our good friend Jamie Barnard finaly caught up with me, somehow I had managed to stay strong and get on with the very busy few weeks i had surrounding his funeral but last week i was able to slow down a bit and the grief hit me like aTON OF LEAD so saturday was well needed. fabulous new venue, great staff, really helpful and capable sound engineer great responsive and appreciative audience, and best of all we played and shared the gig with our good mates from Rum Boogie.....we were invited by Carlos and the two Nicks as they had been offered the gig and asked if wed like to double head it, our two bands do seem to compliment each other musically. We are going to arrange something for Hastings next. talking of which this week sees our return to the fabulous and vey gorgeous Ali and her family and friends at the Carlisle not to forget the one and only Scott from East Kentucky

The6 Bells Chyddingly....Well what can i say...always a pleasure to play, the sound is shit (very dry) cant swing a cat or even a hamster (good job the hamsters dont play there then!) pay is low, but the crowd are brilliant always appreciative, The govnor Paul, always stays in the bar and enjoys the music and mingles with the crowd (lovely geezer) plus the rack of ribs me and al had before the gig was superb so much meat on the bone ...just like me and al.....tho i didnt have the malteeser crunch ice cream after...suprised he stayed awake long enough to do the gig heh heh..

Contributed by local yokel: Breaking wind ooops i mean news; best kebab shop in Sussex open till 3 am, great for musicians on the road after heavy gig...Seaside,Eastbourne. friendly Iranian staff.
